Beginning of assembly of KV U-7
Finally, I got around to building one of the models planned for construction! Namely, one of the pre-production KVs.

In principle, the model is very easy to assemble. True, you have to assemble it not straight out of the box, but taking into account the purchased aftermarket. It turned out that according to the instructions you can assemble it only up to this point.
And then: extra holes have to be sealed. There are losses in the aftermarket list. It is obvious to the naked eye that the gun mask from Zedval does not fit, and the original one, on the contrary, fits.
Well, that’s okay, but the fact that the support rollers from Gloomy Modeler have a “male” mount, while the original ones are the opposite – that’s what surprised me.
Cutting and drilling is not a problem, but the impression remains. And the printed mesh of the engine compartment ventilation did not fit. The fact that it was slightly warped is not a problem, I would have straightened it. But the fact that it is larger than the original is an unpleasant surprise.

Most likely, all these additions are for a model from another manufacturer. The product description does not mention this at all. And where the manufacturer does mention it, it is Zvezda, not Trumpeter.
This is not fatal, you just need to know it.

P.S. Yes, I went and looked at the instructions for the Zvezda – there are such support rollers.
